This is a great Gibson book, and it comes with a DVD !!!!. I have all the Tony Bacon/Lawrence/BOTB/Wheeler, etc books. This one gets overlooked because its not from the usual suspects. Photography is great and best of all, most book stores are giving it away. Pick one up to add to your collection, or give it as a cheap gift. the DVD alone is worth the price of the book.
Fathers' Day gift. I am not a guitar player. We have, however, visited the Gibson factory in Memphis two times. I also love fantastic woodworking and American craftsmanship. I know lots of things, but little about Gibson guitars. These authors know and share lots of info on the same. Great book. A little overwhelming for me. Great photos and great descriptions. If you love guitars, especially Gibsons, you will not be disappointed. Fun.

This is the most thorough look at ANY guitar line. I have great respect for the writer(s) and the ultimate respect for the manufacturer that has brought so much music into my life. I went to school with Walter Carter and UNC and was really pleased to see his work in this book. He was a great musician and now, I discover, a great historian.
